ArtWorks South Yorkshire
Artworks makes artists. We're a not-for-profit creative arts organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism to achieve their potential. From our four community-based art studios in Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield, 120 artists are making ambitious work that tells their story on their terms. Through creative workshops and volunteering opportunities, our artists develop their skills, collaborate with others, and discover new talents.
Artists Who Inspire
ArtWorks focuses on collaborative practice and teamwork, providing a safe studio environment where our artists can be creative, adventurous and challenge perceptions of disability arts.
Meet The Artists
The ArtWorks Collective
Our artists are creative people from South Yorkshire who have a learning disability or are autistic (or both). Over 120 people aged 16+ come to ArtWorks each week and/or during the school holidays, to turn ideas into art, performance, film and to have fun with the help of our dedicated team of artist support workers.
